IndieWorld Country report had the Pierce the Darkness single "I'd Rather Dance" ranked at number 27 for the week of December 22nd, 2000.

"I'd Rather Dance" has been in heavy rotation on country radio from Austria to Australia since its November release. It comes from the self-titled first Pierce the Darkness CD, an eclectic mix of rock, pop and country characterized by themes of the bitter, battered and bloodied variety.

Band founder, Edward Pierce, notes that the music rocks, but is hardly "kid stuff." The majority of the tracks as well as the CD are avaiable from all major online CD retail sites as well as from the band's own web site, www.piercethedarkness.com.
