Why should I sign up for a DuckMusic.com artist web site?

This is web technology at it's best.

We Duckies have come up with a way for independent musicians to have a self-maintained, professional web site with secure ordering and several other interactive features for far less money than establishing an independent web presence.

Each Artist Web Site will stand alone because of its unique content, while benefiting from the DuckMusic.com editing tools, secure shopping features and marketing momentum.

If I'm a manager, how do I control multiple artist web sites? Do I need to sign up for new DuckMusic.com member accounts for each artist web site?

Signing up for one DuckMusic.com member account provides you with the tools to create and manage multiple Artist Web Sites.

Once logged in to DuckMusic.com, you can click the "New Artist" button to create a new Artist Web Site. Each Artist Web Site you purchase comes with the options to sell 1 CD and have 2 live real audio tracks. Though these features are purchased as part of a new Artist Web Site, they are applied to your member account as credits, so you may apply them toward any Artist Web Site you own. For example, if you purchase a new artist site and only want to have one live real audio song on that site, your member account will have a credit for one real audio song which can be applied to any other artist site you own.

Each time you log in to your DuckMusic.com member account, you will be able to access each artist site that you own in order to edit and update that site. You will also be able to view your account status to see any credits you may have, what amounts you still owe, and any check orders still pending receipt of payment.

Keep in mind that as a DuckMusic.com member you are responsible for any Artist Web Site entered through your DuckMusic.com member account. If you do not want to be responsible for an Artist Web Site, do not create that site through your member account. Review the DuckMusic.com Member Agreement, which outlines your responsibilities as a member.

What are the advantages of having a DuckMusic.com artist web site over having my own web site?

Try registering a domain name, having a site hosted and hiring someone to design and build a professional looking, high quality, eCommerce, interactive web site. You'll find that not only is it time consuming, but it's downright expensive!

We've taken just about all of the work out of developing your own web presence. For very little money and almost no time at all you get a professional web site that is backed by the momentum of DuckMusic.com's marketing and technology. We promote DuckMusic.com in a variety of ways, which means the artists who have DuckMusic.com web sites are simultaneously being promoted.

Can I have different people edit my artist web sites(s)?

Thatís up to you. You will have one username (which is your email) and password to access your DuckMusic.com member account. Once logged in, you can edit and update your Artist Web Site(s). Though we don't recommend sharing usernames and passwords, we can't stop you. Ultimately, the person associated with the member account will be responsible for payment on the account, and for all content that is submitted. That should be kept in mind when sharing your password information and allowing other people to make changes to your Artist Web Site(s).
