Judging by the inebriated youth sprawled across the cover of Trashed and Bent, Tag Sale wants you to know that it's time to party. the recording debut from the Northampton heroes on Chunk Records serves up a wicked rock cocktail that's two parts pop punk, one part surf, with a healthy twist of "X-Files." while not out to change the world, "Trashed and Bent" recalls the primal joys of driving too fast, drinking too much, and playing guitars very loudly.

The groups unholy splicing of surf/punk with alien abduction paranoia on songs like "Space Frontier", "Do You Believe", and "Spaceships" owes a lot to Frank Black and his now-defunct "Pixies." Many of these classic tunes would also sound at home on the punk classic "Repo Man Soundtrack." High praise indeed.
