Easily the best independent release I've ever heard, and certainly superior to much of the major label product that's out right now. Loser Friendly isn't necessarily all that groundbreaking, but c'mon, it's pop music. And this is pop music that won't stop at latching itself to your brain for a few stray minutes; its ambitious arsenal of instrumentation and band leader Simon Steadman's substantial charisma set the record apart from the one-dimensional pop bands that hit once and disappear nowadays. This is my first time saying this in a review, but what the hell: every single song on this record is good, and quite a few are pretty damn extraordinary.
