Pierce the Darkness is a band, and it's our mission. Our songs are the pages of a journal depicting the hazards of that inky realm of love-lust-lost hearts-lonely souls. They describe the lonely path taken -- full of up-hills and down, circles and switchbacks, two steps forward and one step anywhere else, but never staying in one place too long. They share a sense of hope even as we emerge battered, bloodied, beaten, yet unbowed spirits that refuse to believe love isn't worth fighting for. The drums beat strongly, the guitars ring out and the voice is unequivocal. This is not pop-rock for the uninitiated, not for the first-time lover, not for the rose-colored glasses crowd. The themes are familiar to the life-experienced -- the emotions, the connections, the promises, the betrayals, the damage and the forgiveness.
