Originally based in Chapel Hill, NC; Jasper has played throughout the southeast in support of their CD/EP "In The Red", produced and recorded by Caleb Southern (Ben Folds Five, Archers Of Loaf). The CD/EP is now only available through Duck Music.

Now in New York City, Jasper is playing shows, events, and is in pre-production on new material to be recorded in spring 2001.

Jasper was formed by guitarist and songwriter David MacDonald (Amherst, MA). Together with Michael Lennicx (Alabama) on guitar, bassist Miguel Mateus (DC), and drummer Jeff Killgore (NYC), Jasper creates a sound with punk, sixties pop, and alt/rock inflections.
